ayy dude what happened to wildlife clothing?
I was the creative director, and when the company was founded I agreed with the two other shareholders that was my position and I wouldn’t be playing any other role, however eventually over time they stopped pulling their weight, communication died so slowly I ended up doing everything from the design side of things right through to website design, promotion, distribution, sourcing materials, going to business meetings alone, delivering goods to our stockists and dealing with our overseas manufacturers. Obviously, after a couple years of doing all the work with nothing in return the inspiration and motivation to design for and run Wildlife quickly died, so I organised the release of this years collection and once it’s gone I will no longer be designing for Wildlife or be playing any part in keeping the business running. I have been running my own label (Vellex) since spring / summer this year the first collection sold out in 4 weeks, and the next release is due to drop in the next two weeks. I hope this makes things clearer for you and for those wondering what’s going on with wildlife. Business is business.
